PRIVACY
POLICY
From December 21, 2002 new privacy laws have been introduced
that protect the privacy of an individual's personal information and the way
private sector businesses and organisations handle personal
information.
The aim of the new laws is to ensure that private
organisations handle information responsibly and provide a consistent
national approach to control the collection, use and disclosure of the personal
information. Under the law, individuals have new rights such as access to their
information.
North Ringwood Tennis Club Inc. (NRTC) recognises and supports a person’s right to privacy in relation to their
information and NRTC will handle such information in accordance with our legal
requirements.
Privacy Notice:
NRTC is committed to abiding by the provisions of the Privacy
Act 1988 (as amended) and its principles. NRTC will
honour its obligations relating to the collection, use and disclosure
of personal information.
NRTC will only collect information where it is necessary to
enable us to provide our services in the running and managing our various
teams, coaching courses and clinics and for the purpose of communication of
information (for example payment reminders) to Club members.
NRTC will not disclose personal information to third parties
except under limited circumstances provided for under the Privacy Act 1988.
NRTC will take the necessary steps to ensure that any third
party NRTC has an association with also complies with the new Privacy Laws.
NRTC also takes reasonable steps to ensure that whenever we
collect, use or disclose personal information it is accurate, complete and
up-to-date.

CLUB IMAGES POLICY
North Ringwood Tennis Club is committed to the Privacy of
its members. The following policy is
specifically relating to the use and publication of images taken for the
purposes of the North Ringwood Tennis Club; promotional or information
dissemination

Written permission from the individual must be
sought for club use of any image where the individual is easily recognisable
·
Written permission from the individual to use
their name in conjunction with the published image must be obtained prior to
publication
·
Written permission from parents must be sought
for any images collected by the club of people under the age of 18 years.
·
All permission forms must indicate the purpose
for which the image will be used
·
All permission forms must indicate the specific
form of publication for which the images will be used
·
A general permission form for internal
publication of images will be sent to members with their renewal of
subscription form
·
Any publication of images on the website or for
external promotional purposes must have an individual permission form
·
No names will be attached to images used unless
specific permission for each image is received.
·
Images of individuals or groups may be published
without permission where no recognisable facial features are seen and no names
are attached to the image.
·
Any outside organisations using the courts with
the club’s permission must seek permission from the designated club
representative for permission to collect images. Any collection of images must be in
accordance with the Privacy Act and not disrupt the primary purpose of the
event.
This policy will be reviewed as any changes in the Privacy
Act are enacted and to conform to the safety of its members.
